![]() The reality is that we do operate in a consumer driven environment, and as such they will always do well – there is a market for them. When you consider that the VAT alone adds 17.5% to a products cost - they are no doubt on to an easy ride. While this is not against the law, it does allow them a significant cost advantage. What this effectively means is that this company is effectively bypassing UK based corporation tax, national insurance, vat - the lot. ![]() What I have found out is that the shop who I believe you are referring to (I will not mention names) is not actually a UK company, but rather a 'front' to a company based in China. ![]() ![]() We all pay the same taxes and duties so you would think the costs would be similar? I don’t particularly want to add fuel to this point, however following this post we did some investigations - primarily to establish how the costs from the competition was so low. ![]()
